Monaco Tourist and Convention Authority's Tour in India with Hotel Partners of the Principality

From 26 to 29 September, Monaco Tourist and Convention Authority travelled in a delegation with the Monte-Carlo SBM, the Fairmont Monte-Carlo and the Méridien Beach Plaza to the cities of Mumbai and Delhi.

The delegation, led by Guillaume Rose, began the tour among tourism professionals from Mumbai. More than 40 professionals were trained in selling "Destination Monaco" to the Indian public, at a series of individual workshops held with all the partner hotels.

Then it was the turn of the Indian press, with a round table organised especially to promote Monaco in the city of the "Bollywood" studios.

Finally, a "Monaco evening" attracted more than 100 high-society VIPs from Mumbai, who were delighted to attend an event showcasing our luxury destination. Numerous prizes were offered by the hoteliers, in association with the airline Swiss.

The next day, the same format was reproduced in Delhi, with equal success. This was also an opportunity to meet the organisers of the forthcoming grand Indian wedding that is due to take place in the Principality in a month's time, and the family involved, and discuss the final details of the festivities with them.

India is a market that has been growing constantly in the Principality for several years, and the whole delegation could see to what extent the reputation of "Destination Monaco" has grown from year to year.
